Quick ASSET Review  

• The Extended Learning Center has developed narrated PowerPoint prep session lessons to help you review, brush up or evaluate your reading, writing and mathematics skills.

Quick THEA Review  

Need a quick review? Click on the Quick ASSET, Quick COMPASS or Quick THEA buttons for info on the format of each test, testing strategies and links to online practice tests.

Placement Test Prep Sessions:   • For a more indepth review, click on the ASSET, COMPASS, or THEA buttons under Placement Test Prep Sessions to go to an online narrated PowerPoint prep session describing the format, skills tested, available resources, test strategies and online practice tests for each placement test.
ASSET Prep Session   • Starting your review process early will give you enough time to practice so that you can feel confident of doing your best on the placement test you choose to take. 
THEA Prep session   • Be realistic about how much time it will take you to review and practice.  Set a reasonable date for when you will be ready to take the placement test.
COMPASS Prep session   • The eCampus link has presentations about Student Services at NHMCCD.

  • Click on the ASSET, THEA or COMPASS Prep Session button

  • To login to the prep session, enter your name and birthdate (ie: June 4, 1978 is 6/4/1978)
  • View the narrated prep session
  • Close the prep session and return to this page
  • View another prep session or close this web page
  • Review and then go to the Assessment Center, C220, to take the ASSET or COMPASS placement test.
